Locked In

Today was a big day for me for two reasons.

1) Today at the UO Bookstore Ernie Kent was signing autographs. I got Ernie Kent to autograph my Oregon Basketball Highlight DVD with the following inscription "Michael, way to overcome your adversity...P.S. thanks for the coaching tips -Ernie Kent".

2) Not only was Ernie Kent at the bookstore autographing DVD's but so was Joe Giansante. Giansante is the primary TV guy for all duck sports and he is the guy I hate more than anyone in the world. I hate Giansante because of how he defends the Oregon Athletic Department no matter what. Instead of using his position to give the viewers objective sports analysis, he instead acts like the Sean Hannity of Oregon Sports. His call of the Oregon-Oklahoma onside kick is just the tip of the iceberg.

Giansante is one of the primary reasons I started this blog. His homerism is so severe that I felt the people needed a way to see through his blubbery goo of deception with regards to Oregon sports. People pay a lot of money to see their team and I feel that those people deserve to know the truth about Oregon sports.

A few days ago I was trying to come up with a theme for my blog and I couldn't come up with anything that seemed appropriate. The best word I could come up with to describe my blog was "voracious". However as I was standing next to the oval shaped Giansante today, I realized that I want my blog to be against whatever he stands for. I want him to be the anti-Christ for whatever I preach. I may not be able to define what I stand for, but i know its opposite of whatever he stands for.
